This relatively minor update was released alongside the new iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max to support the new ProRes RAW codec and Apple Log 2 color space those phones enable. Here’s what the new controls look like on a new ProRes RAW clip — they’re more extensive than the previously available white balance controls.
Several small bugs were also fixed, and the icon was changed to comply with the new macOS 26 Tahoe rules. All icons now need to fit inside the default shape, and the old FCP icon did not.
